You MUST Do These 3 Things BEFORE Starting Your Side Hustle.
Looking at the stats, my side hustle articles are outperforming the rest. Which makes sense, as the cost of living continues to skyrocket, the future of most companies is uncertain, and as a culture, we want more control and freedom over our lives.
A side hustle lets you take the power in your own hands.
But before you do any of that, your maiden voyage to the side hustle world must have these 3 components. See the list below and remember: it’s going to be hard but all the best things in life take work, time and patience. So go get it!
And like always, if you find this article helpful please share it with a friend or leave a comment. I like hearing your feedback and try to respond to everyone.
1) Get your house in order.
When I was a personal trainer, I’d ask clients “do you floss your teeth?”. They’d look at me confused. The point I was making; you can’t do the big things if you don’t do the little things first. A healthy lifestyle was a major shift for most people and if you couldn't “find the time” to floss your teeth, you’ll never find it to grocery shop, meal prep, workout, and sleep more.
It’s the little thing first.
If you plan on working on a computer, clean and organize your work space so you can think better. I’d even take it a step further and clean up your desktop, closing the 348 browser tabs, and deleting any unused programs.
If you’re going to drive Uber, get your car detailed and invest in some accessories to make it comfortable for the rider.
You cannot run your own buisness when you have a bunch of loose ends on your mind.
Literally get your house in order. Get everything squared away. Close any loops that have been on your mind so that you can fully focus on the journey ahead.
2) Get your mind right.
Most success in life doesn’t come from finding the perfect stragety, reading the right book, going to the right course. It comes from what’s between your ears.
Your mind.
What’s holds most everyone back is their mental state and way of THINK.
We are always our worst enemy and get in our own way.
So before you even think of starting, ask yourself:
Are you committed?
Are you willing to do what it takes?
Talk to a therapist, listen to personal development books. Brainwash yourself with success if you have to. Your outter reality is a mirror of your inner world. If you haven't found success in life so far, its not because you haven’t read the right book or watched the right video. It’s because you brain needs to be rewired to win.
3) Do not quit.
You don’t fail if you don’t give up. It’s going to take longer, be harder, and more stressful than you ever thought. But on the flipside it will be the most rewarding, most fun, and most growth you will ever experience.
The journey of entrepreneurship is a rollercoaster and you need to buckle up.
But whatever you do: Stay on the ride.
The lessons you learn, the person you become, and the life you create are where the real beauty of this lies.
Not the money, ego, or toys. Those things are fun but it’s not what matters most.
In summary, look simple right? It is, but it won’t be easy. If you follow these 3 rules, you will get to where you want to be.
Keep going and good luck!
